Hi Sarah Pike, I’m really sorry for my late response! If I could change anything about the Instagram app, I would change the feature that enables likes to be visible on people’s photos/videos. I don’t find it necessary and it turns Instagram into a popularity contest rather than creative platform for fun. People start to feel insecure because of a simple number, a number that isn’t even accurate in what it represents. People shouldn’t be fixated on likes, but rather the content/quality of what they posted. There’s enough social pressure people face in the day to day life, why make it even harder?
